The Kastle Greens Golf Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Gary Cordova.
The Kastle Greens Golf Course is a links-style design. The front nine has fairways that are open, with mounding between the tees and greens. The back nine is more of a traditional plantation design and features a natural wetlands. Water comes into play on eight holes, five on the front and three on the back. The greens are very large and undulating.
Kastle Greens is a par-72 layout that plays to a maximum distance of 6,734 yards and a course rating of 74.0 with a slope rating of 136.
The signature hole is #9, a 423-yard, par 4, which features a dogleg fairway that breaks to the left. There is a carry over water off the tee and a bunker in front of the green. If the approach shot goes long, it will have a tendency to roll down the back of the green into a pond.
Until further notice, Kastle Greens Golf Club closed on Sunday May 15, 2011. It is the stated intention of the course to re-open, but only time will tell.

I just love playing this course. It is challenging from the white tees for someone like me whose goal is to break 90 someday, and very difficult from the back tees. Slope ratings are very impressive, and conditions are always very good. Weekdays (even Mondays and Fridays) in the morning I have never had any problem getting on the course, which is very uncrowded at that time. Just a great golfing locale for those of us who know it is there.
